The Capabuild Project:

Co-building Tax Capacity for
Developing Countries

AN INTRO INTO

WHO WE ARE

The Capabuild Project is a private public initiative, assisting developing countries to build and develop their tax academies and tax programs with the purpose of increasing tax revenue and improving their investment climate.

For sustainable progress in developing countries, a solid flow of taxes paid to governments is of strategic importance. Education, infrastructure and health care, for example, cannot be financed without a solid flow of taxes. This is called mobilisation of domestic resources. The issue is how to grow the tax revenues while also growing the economy.

Adequate tax legislation and a good functioning of tax administrations is key for sustainable growth. The Covid-19 crisis has increased this urgent need.

AN EXPLANATION INTO

WHAT WE DO

There is a significant need for on-the-ground tax training and training programs which are demand driven, independent, flexible in execution and contain advice from business. At Capabuild, we are offering just that.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have evolved our face-to-face training programs into an online offering. With the help of education and technical experts, we have created an on-line platform through which our programs are delivered, enabling continued interactivity with our customers.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT

OUR APPROACH

Capabuild organizes training/seminars, workshops and helps tax training centres to further develop programs. With the involvement of our development countries’ customers, we scope the areas for more on-the-ground training.

We then align those areas with tax experts in our network and work with our production team to obtain the best result possible.

All experts offer practical experience in what they teach.
