When Capabuild was incorporated in 2017, it knew the importance of a professional, strong and independent supervisory board. A key characteristic of all Capabuild training is that it is fully demand driven, and its independence needs to be safeguarded in its governance structure. Demand driven means, ‘as articulated by the Revenue Services of the developing countries in the global south. ‘
Theo Groeneveld was one of the key people ain Capabuild to secure that vision right from the outset. During almost 7 years Theo has been a member of the Supervisory Board. Now, Theo steps down from this responsibility.
Capabuild has benefited tremendously from his wisdom and expertise. He brought a deep experience from a long-standing career in the judiciary, including Dutch Supreme Court.
We had the privilege to work with Theo as a strong independent thinker and learn from his ability in approaching issues from diverse perspectives. His consistent inspiration to contribute to better societies and to serve the many people striving for a better life, is impressive.
We are delighted that Theo will remain part of our eco system in the role of independent advisor. Therefore, this is not a farewell, but a heartfelt thank you!
Obviously, there is now a vacancy. We aim to announce soon the new member who will be appointed to Capabuild’s Supervisory Board.
