Capabuild proudly announces Mercy Mbithi as the new Chair of its Supervisory Board, succeeding Attiya Waris, who steps down after an outstanding tenure. Mercy Mbithi, a former Kenyan Revenue Authority senior tax auditor and Capabuild training provider, brings deep experience in international taxation. She currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor at the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) and holds several high-profile roles, including:

Vice Co-Chair, OECD Working Party No. 6
Principal Kenyan Delegate, OECD Task Force on the Digital Economy
ATAF Expert, UN Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters
Member, BEPS Monitoring Group
She has led transfer pricing training and audits across more than 35 Sub-Saharan African countries and with Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance Pusat Studi Perpajakan PKN STAN through Capabuild’s partnership.
Earlier in her career she received training from our most senior capacity builders Premkumar Baldewsing. In her role as Chair Mercy Mbithi will advise him and the wider Capabuild team—embodying the foundation’s mission of capacity building, empowerment, and sustainability.
From trainee to chair—Capabuild is truly walking the talk. We thank our sponsors for walking with us on this path
